NXDATA-3

NXDATA-3 is the new data center facility developed by NXDATA for the next stage of growth in digital infrastructure. The project expands our carrier-neutral ecosystem and is designed to meet higher power, cooling and connectivity requirements.

Designed for the requirements driven by artificial intelligence, cloud computing and high-density applications, NXDATA-3 provides infrastructure tailored to enterprise and digital projects requiring high power per rack, high power density and specific technical configurations.

Located in the northern part of Bucharest, near the Bucharest Ring Road and approximately 8 kilometers from the NXDATA campus, the new data center benefits from access to the NXDATA interconnection ecosystem in Bucharest and the wider region.

With 5 MW of total power, including 3 MW dedicated to IT equipment, and 2,000 m² of technical space divided into four independent colocation rooms, NXDATA-3 enables the implementation of configurations tailored to the requirements of each project.

TECHNICAL DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS

SYSTEMS THAT SUPPORT NXDATA-3 DATA CENTER

BUILDING

5,500 m² of building area, including 2,000 m² of technical space, divided into 4 independent data rooms. The building is designed for seismic resilience and features a technical floor capable of supporting loads of 20 kN/m².

ELECTRICAL POWER

3 MW of IT power across 2,000 m², with up to 1 MW per data hall. Two separate 20 kV MV power supply lines, with an N+N architecture dedicated to each room, N+N UPS systems with 10 minutes of battery autonomy, and N+N generators with 24 hours of autonomy.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Scalable UPS systems and chillers, with free-cooling capabilities. Fan Wall-type cooling architecture, with a projected PUE of approximately 1.3.

COOLING SYSTEM

Free-cooling chillers with N+1 redundancy, individually managed and connected to the BMS. Temperature and humidity are controlled independently in each room, with the option of Direct-to-Chip cooling up to 50 kW/rack.

CONNECTIVITY

Carrier-neutral facility, with redundant connections to the metropolitan fiber-optic infrastructure and Meet-Me Rooms. AWS and Google Cloud on-ramp connectivity is available on-site, providing access to the NXDATA-1 and NXDATA-2 interconnection ecosystem through redundant fiber-optic paths.

FIRE DETECTION AND SUPPRESSION

VESDA fire detection systems are installed in the colocation rooms and power rooms, with inert gas fire suppression systems in the colocation rooms and UPS rooms, all connected to the central building management system.

BMS & EMS

Real-time monitoring of electrical and mechanical systems, a dedicated M&E team, 24/7 on-site operations throughout the year, and in-house developed DCIM software and hardware.

SECURITY

High-security perimeter fencing, extensive exterior CCTV, 24/7 on-site security in a secure control room, and 2FA access control (RFID & PIN/Biometric).

COMPLIANCE

Operations are conducted in accordance with ISO 27001 for information security and ISO 9001 for quality management. The NXDATA-3 project is designed to meet TIA-942 requirements.

IMPORTANCE CATEGORY II

Seismic resilience integrated into the design. NXDATA-3 is classified as Importance Category II, with a block-redundant architecture, where each data hall operates as an independent module with dedicated N+N power supply and N+1 cooling.
