CARRIER-NEUTRAL COLOCATION CENTER
Operational since 2009, NXDATA-2 is the second data center in the NXDATA ecosystem in Bucharest. Located just 500 meters from NXDATA-1, the facility expands the colocation and interconnection capacity available to customers.
Connected to NXDATA-1 through a high-capacity underground fiber-optic ring, NXDATA-2 provides access to the extended NXDATA connectivity ecosystem and infrastructure designed to meet IT&C requirements.
CARRIER-GRADE PHYSICAL INFRASTRUCTURE
The connection to the national power grid is secured through two 1,800 kVA / 20 kV MV/LV transformers in a redundant configuration. The total installed power is 1 MW.
The UPS system has a total capacity of 2 × 800 kVA and is configured in an N+N redundant architecture. Battery autonomy at nominal load is 15 minutes.
The diesel generators have a total capacity of 2 × 1,120 kVA and are configured in an N+N redundant configuration, with an autonomy of 12 hours without refueling. The generators are dedicated exclusively to the operation of the NXDATA-2 data center.
The cooling system is configured in an N+1 redundant architecture, with adiabatic cooling providing the additional capacity. The average temperature is maintained at 24°C ±5°C, with relative humidity between 25% and 75%, measured in the cold aisle at a height of 1.1 m.
The fire detection system uses VESDA technology for continuous air monitoring. The colocation rooms are additionally equipped with smoke, temperature, pressure and humidity sensors.
The fire suppression system uses carbon dioxide.
Video surveillance is provided through a CCTV/VSS system that continuously monitors access to and activity within the facility. Video recordings are retained for a period of 30 days.
NXDATA-2 has a dedicated area for equipment unloading and handover, with direct access from the customer parking area, as well as a dedicated room for receiving customer equipment.
NXDATA-2 data center is operated and monitored 24×7×365.
NXDATA-2 provides direct access to Internet Exchanges, including INTERLAN-IX and RoNIX, as well as Balkan-IX and Balkan Internet Exchange.
The contractual SLA for electrical power and environmental services is 99.95%.
